Oppo F27 5G to arrive soon, Pro+ is getting AI features next week

Oppo released the F27 Pro+ in June without AI features despite the company promising AI for all of its smartphone lines.

Today, the company confirmed the Pro+ midranger is getting four Generative AI features on August 22 via a software update. We also learned a vanilla midranger Oppo F27 5G is in the works, and it is "coming soon."

According to the announcement, the F27 Pro+ will receive an OTA update with AI Eraser 2.0, which removes background objects; AI Smart Image Matting 2.0, which crops objects as stickers; AI Studio, which generates images out of drawings, and AI LinkBoost...
