You can now install or update up to four apps concurrently from the Google Play Store

This past weekend, we reported that Google Play Store now lets Android users install or update up to three apps and games on their devices at the same time. However, we've discovered that you can actually install/update up to four apps/games concurrently from the Play Store on your Android device.

We discovered this while installing apps and games on our iQOO Z9s Pro in India from the Google Play Store, having version 42.4.22-31[0][PR]663941805.

We had over a dozen apps/games queued for installation, and the Play Store downloaded up to four apps concurrently while the status for the...

Weekly poll: is the Motorola Edge 50 Neo the small phone to get?

Poll results from earlier this year showed that the first three models in Motorola’s Edge 50 series are promising but pricey. Since then the company has added a few new models, including the relatively compact Neo model.

Motorola Edge 50 Neo

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo isn’t small, but with a 6.4” display, it is smaller than most Androids out there. Compared to a Pixel 9 Pro, it is 1.3mm taller but 0.8mm narrower and 0.4mm thinner, not to mention 28g lighter. All this while offering a bit more screen real estate. The Galaxy S24 and iPhone 15 Pro are both smaller than the Neo, but...

Leak shows that HMD might be working on a camera-focused Lumia 1020 revival

There’s a reason why the classics still play on the radio – and it’s the same reason that HMD has embraced the Lumia design language for its recent batch of phones, starting with the Skyline. Arguably the best Lumia of them all was the Lumia 1020, all thanks to the impressive 41MP sensor housed on a circular camera island on the back.

HMD seems to be tapping into just that design for an unnamed upcoming model. The centered circular island is home to four lenses (and the LED flash), as seen in the leaked silhouette below:

This isn’t the HMD Hyper, which...

Samsung Galaxy M05 gets one step closer to launch

Samsung is working on the Galaxy M05, which first surfaced alongside the F05 back in July. Now, the M05 support page has gone live on Samsung India's website. This usually means that the official launch is going to happen in a matter of weeks at most.

The listing on the support page unfortunately does not reveal any specs of the handset, only its model number SM-M055F/DS. The M05 was also recently certified for sale in India by BIS.

The Galaxy M05 will be the successor to the Galaxy M04 from 2022, and like that model it will be at the very low end in Samsung's portfolio. To get an...

Time flies. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo was unveiled this week (our hands-on here), and today we have it at our doorstep and ready for review!

We got the Pantone Poinciana color, which is between orange, red, and magenta. It's a fascinating color in person, and trust us, it's much punchier than what the camera can show.

The phone ships with a color-matching protective case and a USB-C cable. Some markets may also receive the 68W charger as part of the package.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo may sound like a compact handset if you're judging it by its specs - it has a 6.4-inch display...

ChatGPT now has 200 million weekly active users

It's hardly surprising that ChatGPT has managed to double its weekly active users since last November, given how much of a buzzword AI has been over the past year and the fact that ChatGPT is the most well known generative AI chatbot.

The OpenAI service now boasts 200 million active users every week, up from 100 million in 2023. OpenAI also says 92% of Fortune 500 companies are using its products, while usage of its automated API has doubled since the release of GPT-4o Mini last month.

In a statement on these matters, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said:
