Analyst: the foldable iPhone will have an outward folding design like the Huawei Mate Xs 2

Apple’s event yesterday focused on software and the company didn’t say much about hardware. But the company is working on at least two foldable devices behind the scenes – one 20.3” MacBook, which is reportedly closer to completion, and one 7.9” foldable iPhone.

The latter will have an outward folding design, similar to the Huawei Mate Xs 2, according to analyst Jeff Pu. This means a single display that covers the front and back of the device when folded and straightens out a flat singular display when opened.

Galaxy Watch 7 is the star of latest mosaic leak series' episode

The latest mosaic leak by Evan Blass deatails another of Samsung's upcoming devices. It's seemingly the Galaxy Watch7 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6.

We can't be certain, but the smartwatch appears to be the regular model, without the fancy rotating bezel, and the phone is clearly a book-style foldable, hence - Galaxy Z Fold6.

The Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Z Fold6

Alternatively, we could be looking at the more affordable Galaxy Watch FE.

Samsung will a number of devices at its next Unpacked event on July 10. Expect the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Watch7...

At its Worldwide Developers Conference today, Apple unsurprisingly unveiled iOS 18, the next iteration of its iPhone operating system, which should become available this fall for a lot of iPhones.

Apple Intelligence

As expected, Apple Intelligence was the key new addition, which is the company's own AI push, available for devices powered by the A17 and all M series chips. It's all about personalized AI tools that help with your daily tasks - things like prioritizing notifications. There are also writing tools, available in all apps, for rewriting (with multiple versions), proofreading,...

And if you have an Apple Pencil handy it will even do Math Notes – allowing you to write complicated equations and get real-time solutions. It even supports variables and updates results when you change inputs. All of the Math Notes features are also supported in the Notes app.

Deals: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S9+ are $250 off

A few weeks ago, a free storage upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra brought the price of the 12/512GB model down to $1,300. Now that same model is $1,170. It has been at that price before, so there is some fluctuation. The good news is that this time the 12/256GB model is discounted too and can be had for $1,050 – and that is the lowest that we have seen.

Deals: Samsung Galaxy S23 FE gets cheaper and so does the Google Pixel 7a

Last week we saw the Samsung Galaxy A55 fall below £300 (for an 8/128GB unit), but as it so often happens, that discount didn’t last long, so the price is over £400 again. This might be a good time to consider an alternative – the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.

The FE is nominally a flagship with goodies like a tele camera (8MP 3x), 4K @ 60fps and 8K @ 30fps video recording, wireless charging (15W), video out over USB-C with DeX and a superior water resistance rating (IP68). The downside is that the 4,500mAh battery offers poor battery life – 8:28h Active Use rating compared to 13:27h for the A55....

Qualcomm quietly unveils the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset

Qualcomm’s current naming scheme can sometimes be confusing, but the “s” generally denotes a “step-down” model in the lineup, and that’s exactly what the new Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 is. Qualcomm quietly put up information about the new mobile platform on its site without much fanfare. We kind of understand why since the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 isn’t a particularly intriguing chip.

It is available in a 4G (SM-6370) and a 5G (SM6375-AC) variant, and that model number offers a big hint about the chipset’s origins. The SM6375 is the Snapdragon 695 – a chip from 2021 that was later rehashed in 2021 as...

There is also the fact that the company is already giving one away to buyers of the S24 series over in Belgium. In fact, we currently believe that the Watch FE might actually be unveiled in late June, prior to the big Samsung Unpacked event in July.

In yet another hint that the Galaxy Watch FE is inching closer and closer to release, the device has now been spotted in a listing on Amazon Italy. The page...
