We've been hearing about the iPad's move to OLED since 2021, but we finally have an OLED iPad in our hands in mid-2024.

The unit we have for review is the 11-inch iPad Pro (2024) and it's a solid upgrade over its predecessor.

Part of that is down to the elapsed time - the last iPad Pro 11 came out two years ago. Sure, the M2 processor inside that tablet is no slouch, even in 2024, but the M4 inside the new Pro is built on a more efficient second-generation 3nm process, compared to the 5nm of the M2.

Samsung's oft-rumored, not-yet-materialized Galaxy S24 FE does seem to be a real device that's coming at some point, at least if we go by new information revealed today.

According to a tipster over on X, the first test One UI build for the S24 FE has appeared on Samsung's firmware server today. This is labeled S721BXXU0AXE3 / S721BOXM0AXE3 / S721BXXU0AXE3, and apparently the model number SM-S721B is already confirmed to belong to the European S24 FE.

Australia announces it will turn off 3G networks

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has announced today that it will completely shut down 3G networks. While TPG Telecom (also known as Vodafone) has already switched off its network, two other carriers are planning to do so in 3.5 months.
