A few months ago OnePlus launched the affordable OnePlus Pad Go in India. Then a month later Oppo released the Pad Air2 in China and it was basically the same hardware under new branding. Now it gets another name – Oppo Pad Neo - as it has quietly launched in Malaysia where it should be available for sale immediately, it is also listed on the company’s Taiwanese site.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G in for review

Having laid our hands on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, it's time to turn our attention towards the non-Plus Pro model that arrived at our office for review.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G comes in a white-colored retail package, including a protective case, charging cable, a 67W power adapter and a SIM ejector tool.

Samsung Galaxy A35 pops up on Geekbench with Exynos 1380

Samsung Galaxy A35 appeared in renders two months ago, and today, the smartphone was spotted on Geekbench. The device will have an Exynos 1380 chipset and a 6 GB RAM option, as revealed by the scorecard.

The SM-A356U device scored 697 for a single core and 2,332 for multiple cores, which is an underwhelming result compared with another Galaxy A device that has the same chipset. The obvious explanation is we are looking at an early prototype, and raw performance will be improved by the time the phone is launched.

Samsung Galaxy C55 and Galaxy F55 get rubber stamped by the Wi-Fi Alliance

A few days ago TENAA certified the Samsung SM-C5560, which will likely be sold as the Galaxy C55. Now the Wi-Fi Alliance has issued a certificate for this same model number, indicating that a global launch is near. It’s not just that, the SM-E555B/DS was also certified, this one should be the Galaxy F55.

Apple may up the RAM on its baseline iPhone 16 models this year according to analyst Jeff Pu. The new info comes from Pu’s research note for Haitong International Securities and details that all iPhone 16 series models, including the Pro versions, will feature 8GB RAM. This is a notable step up for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus as their predecessors still use 6GB RAM. The results from last week’s poll look promising, but the OnePlus Ace 3 needs to impress people in order to succeed – glowing reviews are vital as too many people are on the fence.

The Ace 3 didn’t get out of it unscathed, some just don’t want a phone this large – the 6.78” display is working against the Ace 3, especially since it’s curved. That wasn’t the only issue either, many were unhappy with the basic 8MP ultra wide camera – the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has an advanced ISP, but a low resolution sensor doesn’t give it much to work with.
