Apple has opposed sideloading apps on its devices ever since the inception of the iPhone, but that may be changing soon. In fact, according to Mark Gurman, a renowned Apple analyst, the next iOS 17 will enable just that.
But don't hold your breath, as this isn't confirmed just yet. The upcoming iOS 17 might just lay the grounds for sideloading in the future. Then again, the EU's new Digital Market Act is coming into effect in 2024 and requires companies to allow users to install apps from alternative sources, so there's a good chance the change is coming with iOS 17.
And if Apple...

Huawei Watch Ultimate review
Introduction
The Watch Ultimate arrived, claiming to be the best Huawei wearable yet. It comes with a 100-meter water rating, Exploration Mode for the outdoorsy types and an incredibly durable build.
We spent nearly a month with a unit to test all its features, and here are our findings.
The Watch Ultimate arrives in only one size - 1.5" or 48.5 mm in diagonal. It is priced close to the Apple Watch Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro, but its user experience is unlike those two, so it will cater to a different audience.

Weekly poll: can the Asus ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate win the battle for your heart?
As of a couple of years ago mobile games bring in more revenue than the PC and console markets combined. The scene has grown and evolved and there are proper AAA games on mobile, plus tournaments and Twitch streams featuring said games.
Gaming phones evolved alongside those games too – phones like the Asus ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. In fact, Asus ROG was the official sponsor of the CoD: Mobile World Championship 2022, which promoted the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro.
All this build-up is to answer the question “Can’t I just play games on my flagship phone?” “Yes, you can” is...

Weekly poll results: the Motorola Edge 40 Pro is off to a strong start
Nearly half of the voters in last week’s poll are interested in the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, though a lot of them were holding off on making a final decision until the reviews came out. If you’re one of them, check out our review (including on video).
Spoiler alert: it’s a great high-end phone, though the camera isn’t up to the standard of some of the more camera-oriented flagships out there. And while the Moto is cheaper than those, it’s not exactly cheap at €900/£800.
Around 17% of voters felt that the price could stand to be a bit lower and the cost of Edge models does fall over time...

Flashback: Android makers tried to emulate the iPod touch, failed
Apple introduced the original iPhone in January 2007 and a few months later it leveraged the new all-touch interface to add a new branch to the iPod family tree. While the iPod touch was outsold by the iPhone, it was still highly successful – Apple celebrated 100 million units sold in mind 2013.
Naturally, Android makers wanted to have their own iPod touch. In 2009 the Archos 5 Internet Tablet hit the scene. It was billed as a “PMP”, Portable Media Player, and it may have been the first of its kind to run Android (v1.6 Donut). It could play MP3, AAC, FLAC as well as various video formats...

Next update for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to fix HDR-related camera issues
Samsung rolled out a major camera-improving update for the Galaxy S23 series in South Korea last month, which later expanded to Europe, India, and the US. However, the Galaxy S23 Ultra still has HDR-related camera issues, and tipster Ice universe says Samsung will fix these with the next firmware update.
Ice universe doesn't reveal when this update will be released, but we believe the fix for these HDR-related issues - causing a halo effect around the objects - will arrive with next month's security update, which will also bump up the Android security patch level on the Galaxy S23...

Samsung Galaxy A34 vs. Samsung Galaxy A54
Introduction
Samsung has seen continued success with its Galaxy A lineup. The latest additions to the sprawling family are the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54. The Samsung Galaxy A54 puts the A5x series back on the right track after a super-successful A52s was followed by more of a meh A53. The Galaxy A34, on its part, elevates the A3X models to new heights and starts to encroach on the territory of its more-expensive sibling seriously.

Huawei Enjoy 60X leaks with specs and live images
Last month Huawei held an event where the Enjoy 60 was unveiled, alongside a couple of other devices. A fresh new leak now details another device from the same family. Seemingly a more premium one – the Enjoy 60X (STG-AL00).
Thanks to some live photos of the unannounced phone, we can see that its design is only vaguely reminiscent of the Enjoy 60 with its large camera accent rings. However, unlike its sibling, the Enjoy 60X has one large circular camera island. If the text on it is to be believed, it houses two 50MP cameras. There is also a flash, and the fourth and last spot on the island...

YouTube Music is getting real-time lyrics on Android and iOS
Real-time lyrics are nothing new in the music streaming realm. Both Spotify and Apple Music have had the feature for some time now. YouTube Music has been lacking behind. Lyrics have been available on the Google streaming platform, but only in a basic manual manner.
What this new update brings to the table is automatic real-time tracking for lyrics as the songs play. Real-time lyrics tracking will work on any song that already has lyrics uploaded to YouTube Music. The current lyrics will be highlighted, and their text size will be increased within the Lyrics tab of the...
